Pop Up Praise began in September 2023, initiated by a small group of freshmen at the University of Cincinnati, led by our founder, Ally Andrade. These students were eager to find a Christian community at the university but didn't know where to start. In the midst of this season, Andrade felt a divine conviction about the separation within the body of Christ on college campuses. Through prayer, it was soon clear that the Lord had ignited a fire in her and other students’ hearts to start something that fostered more unity and evangelism on campus, creating a space accessible to every student.

On September 6, 2023, the first worship gathering took place in the backyard of a house in Clifton, at the corner of Bellevue Ave and Oak Street. The event exceeded expectations, revealing a community yearning for unity and revival. This passion spread like wildfire. About a month later, the first on-campus Pop Up Praise event was held, bringing together students from all different faith backgrounds and campus ministries. The fragrance of worship and the aroma of Christ drew in ready hearts, leading to countless prayers and Gospel-sharing moments. 

Since then, the Pop Up Praise team has grown to around 15 devoted students. Worship and prayer gatherings have continued throughout the school year, with increasing numbers of students coming together to experience the transformative power of faith.

Today, Pop Up Praise continues to host public worship and prayer gatherings on college campuses, meeting students where they are and offering them the opportunity to experience the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. Our journey is a testament to the Lord's faithfulness and His power to work through our willingness. We are excited to continue praising His name on college campuses and fulfilling the Great Commission by sharing the Good News!
